Butterflies, birthdays and the 4th

As we prepare to pack for our upcoming weekend adventure, ( an overnight camping trip in Frisco), I figured i would take a moment to try and update the blog with a few pictures from the past several weeks. The camping trip should be interesting, as we plan to spend two nights camped out in a tent. All three of my girls are not accustomed to "roughing it" so this should prove to be quite and adventure. Pictures and updates to follow upon our return.
But for now...

We headed out to the zoo a few weeks ago to check out their new butterfly exhibit. The girls loved being able to walk among all the butterflies and have them land on the hands and in Kendra's case, her neck.
look at me!

surprised? or ready for some butterfly for lunch

We also held Kayla's delayed 3rd birthday celebration at the house. At bit warmer than last year but still very enjoyable. Cousin George brought over his trackless train , which made us the envy of the neighborhood children. I cooked up some tasty beef and chicken fajitas. the kids also enjoyed the inflatable moon bounce.

Happy Birthday to you

We also celebrated the 4th of July in style this year. We spent the day out at Mandy's house, complete with pool, hot tub, fishing, horses and driving range. While the evening we enjoyed at cousin Georges lighting off fireworks and enjoy some burgers and dogs.

some enjoyed the sparklers , while others covered their ears.

Lastly we had a brief visit from my fathers brother (Uncle Duckie and his wife Judy). They joined the girls and I on Saturday morning to explore the farmers market as well as the newly opened museum reach section of the riverwalk

P.S
be carefull when photographing new potty trained children, they may get startled and fall into the toilet......just an FYI
