The Baker's: At the coast

We took advantage of Crystal's two days off this past Tue/Wed and took a road trip to Corpus Christi. We made the 2+hr drove down and headed straight to the beach, where we parked and set up camp. This was both of the girls first time to the beach. ( well Kayla had been once when she was about 3 months but since she couldn't walk yet it does not really count) Kayla and Kendra had a blast playing in the water, exploring the sand dunes and feeding the ravenous seagulls. Kendra also enjoyed snacking on the baby clams in their shells found along the shoreline ( something that i discovered a day later). We are not as adventurous as my sister and her husband, so instead of sleeping on the beach we headed off to a Marriott to spend the night. Being that i still have my Marriott employee card we were able to enjoy a nice room at a deep discount ( unfortunately the card expires at the end of the year.) We awoke Wednesday morning, enjoyed our free continental breakfast , and returned to the beach. After we had had our fill of sun, sand, and surf, we departed and stopped off at Crystal's favorite seafood spot, Snoopy's, before heading home.
