The girls enjoyed their 1st Halloween in Texas. The weather here is much more conducive to roaming the neighborhood asking for candy , than it was last year in NY. Which seems to be the reason why most of the neighborhood homeowners sit in their front yards on lawn chairs handing out candy. Kayla, although a year older and wiser, still managed to fit into her costume from last year, saving mom and dad some $. Both of the girls were more interested in opening and eating each piece of candy received, than visiting the houses. Although Kendra took great joy in attempting to blow out the candles in each lit jack-o-lantern we passed.
We made only one trip around the block before returning home. Thanks to my father and Kathy who took over candy distributing duties in our absence. Our neighborhood is quite the popular trick or treating area, as we dolled out over 4 lg cost-co bags of candy.
Looking forward to next year and Kendra graduating to the Tinkerbell costume
