Gramps, the girls and I attended the 3rd annual Brighton Duck race this morning at Brackenridge park. The weather was perfect, sunny, cloudless and about 77 degrees. Certainly enjoying the mid October weather here in south Texas.
There were a variety of activities set up for the kids in addition to the duck race. Halloween card decorating, pumpkin bowling and creepy snow globe construction. With all of this to choose from Kendra seemed most intent on trying to give Gramps a heart attack by continually racing towards the water, before coming to a halt inches from the edge. Gramps and I were able to mind both of the free roaming girls without having to harness them to a kiddie leash, (those should be reserved for pets). Anyhow, we did not posses the winning duck but still enjoyed our time and the weather. Looking forward to next year.
