Just returned late last night from a wonderfully relaxing trip down to
Florida to visit my grandmother, uncle, aunt and cousin. Traveling with the two girls was not as difficult as expected. Kendra slept for most of the flight while her sister proved to be a bit more challenging, but we were able to ply her with milk and crackers and keep her noise level to a minimum. We
spent the days relaxing by the pool and simply taking it easy, which will make my return to work in less than 2 weeks even more difficult. Kayla really enjoyed the pool and her new raft
courtesy of uncle Pat. The weather remained warm and sunny for most of the trip with a few sporadic
thunder showers. The oddest part of the trip..... well that had to be the shuttle van ride from the car rental place back to the airport. It was a fierce rain as we departed the parking lot, when our van driver decided to stop the vechile and then jump out the door into the rain, when he got back onto the van he had a live catfish that he had caught, by hand out of one of the
over sized puddles in the parking lot porduced by the overflowing nearby lake. He then
proceeded to show it off to the rest of the passengers before kicking it up under his seat and resuming driving us to our respective gates... odd indeed. He did pose for a photo with the fish before we departed ( as i promised i would not report it to P.E.T.A.)
